Andrew Slugg is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Regulatory Sciences at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, where he leads Regulatory Affairs, Medical Writing, and Safety and Risk Management. Since joining Alnylam in 2016, he has driven global regulatory strategy to support innovative RNAi therapeutics. Previously, as Vice President at ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, he played a pivotal role in securing approvals for Iclusig® (ponatinib) and Alunbrig® (brigatinib), advancing treatments for leukemia and lung cancer. Earlier, at Ipsen, he led U.S. approvals for Somatuline Depot® and Dysport®. Andrew began his career in clinical research and has extensive experience shaping regulatory pathways for complex therapies. He holds an MBA from Babson College, an MS in Drug Regulatory Affairs and Health Policy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a BS in Biology from Bates College.
