Erin Darbouze

Erin Darbouze, MPH, is Senior Director of Policy & Advocacy at Research!America, where she leads the organization’s domestic policy and advocacy work. She develops strategies to strengthen federal support for medical research, engages with Congress and federal agencies, and brings together Research!America’s broad alliance around shared policy priorities. Erin has more than 15 years of experience in federal health policy, government relations, issue advocacy, coalition building, and strategic planning in Washington, D.C. She spent six years working in the U.S. House of Representatives and has held advocacy and policy roles at The Raben Group and Fight Colorectal Cancer. As Health Policy Manager at Fight Colorectal Cancer, Erin worked with patients, policymakers, and other stakeholders to improve colorectal cancer prevention, early detection, and access to care while advancing research funding and policies to accelerate new treatments. She continues to support the organization’s mission as a member of its Board of Directors. A Florida native, Erin earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Florida and her master’s degree in public health from George Washington University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband, Dave, and their two cats.
