Michael Ward serves as Director, U.S. Alliance Development at AstraZeneca, where he collaborates with patient advocacy groups, provider associations, and other stakeholders to advance shared legislative and regulatory priorities. Michael’s experience as a trusted patient advocate and health policy leader guides his work at AstraZeneca.
Previously, Michael served as Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations at the Alliance for Aging Research, where he led key initiatives on Medicare Part D reform, value and health technology assessment, and patient access to care. Michael’s prior experience also includes serving in key policy roles at Premier, Inc., the American Hospital Association, and at Avalere Health.
Michael received a Master of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.
