Will Reeve

Correspondent, ABC News
Will Reeve is a New York based correspondent for ABC News, reporting for all platforms and shows including “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight with David Muir,” and “Nightline.” At ABC News, Reeve has reported on a variety of stories and topics from 42 states, eight countries and counting. He has received multiple News Emmy nominations, including a nomination for Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Newscast for his coverage of a series of wildfires in California in 2019, and for Outstanding Live News Special for his role co-anchoring the ABC News Live special "Mission to Mars: Live" in 2022. Reeve also created, wrote, and hosted the ABC News Studios primetime special "Will Reeve: Finding My Father," in which Reeve explored the intergenerational bonds between fathers and sons and parents and children as he followed the migration of the Pacific grey whale in the same remote locations in Alaska and Mexico as his father had done thirty years earlier. Prior to joining ABC News in 2018, Reeve was a correspondent at ESPN, contributing to all ESPN platforms and shows, including its flagship SportsCenter, College Gameday, E:60 and ESPN Radio. While at ESPN, Reeve also anchored the weekly “MSG Hockey Show” on MSG Network in the New York City area. Reeve serves on the board of directors of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, an organization founded by his late parents dedicated to finding cures for spinal cord injuries and providing quality of life care for those impacted by paralysis. Will is the child of famed “Superman” actor and activist Christopher Reeve and his wife, Dana Reeve. Will was just shy of three years old when his father was paralyzed in a horseback riding accident. When Will was 12 years old, his father died of complications from an infection. Eighteen months later, his mother died of lung cancer, despite never smoking. Now, Will speaks nationwide to harness support and mobilize community involvement around critical advances in the field of spinal cord research and quality of life care, and to honor the legacy of his late parents. Will also speaks around the country about grief, resilience, and finding healing in loss; recently he was a guest on “All There Is,” Anderson Cooper’s podcast on grief, and shared his story in the recent award-winning feature documentary “Super/Man: the Christopher Reeve Story.” Will is an ambassador for Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and in 2024 was inducted into the BGCA Alumni Hall of Fame. Reeve also serves on the board of his middle school alma mater, the Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, New York. A 2014 graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont with a degree in English and American literatures, Reeve lives in New York City with his fiancée.
