Shree H Thaker is a healthcare communications leader and global health advocate focused on expanding access to care for people who have disabilities. As Director of Communications & Partnerships at Amputee Coalition, she leads national messaging strategy, partnership development, and accessible resource creation across programs including the National Limb Loss Resource Center, Peer Support, Lead Advocate Certification Training, So Every BODY Can Move, and Center for Policy Impact. Amputee Coalition represents and serves the over 5.6 million Americans who have limb loss and limb difference. Shree's career spans patient care, marketing, health policy, technological innovation, and manufacturing, exemplifying a rare breadth of expertise. Her role demands mastery across disciplines, blending clinical insight, strategic communication, policy acumen, and operational know-how, converging skills that culminate a unique ability to integrate lived experience into systems-level solutions, making her a true expert across many trades.
Shree has worked through the fields of disability advocacy, prosthetics and orthotics, and international public health, with prior roles at National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE), PSYONIC, Range of Motion Project, and Médecins Sans Frontières. She holds a biology degree from Virginia Tech, a postgraduate degree in global health policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and is a student of life.
