Tim Vaske

Tim Vaske is a senior director on the Genentech Issue Advocacy and Alliances team. As senior director, Tim works closely with patient advocates, providers, and other key stakeholders to advance sound policy which improves patient access to affordable innovation. Tim has more than two decades of experience at the intersection of biopharma, public health, healthcare policy, stakeholder engagement and advocacy. His past experiences include roles at Gilead Sciences leading cross-functional alignment around patient centricity, at PhRMA leading federal issue advocacy alignment with key constituencies, and at the American Heart Association where he guided community coalitions on advancing health equity policy campaigns addressing childhood obesity. Finally, Tim understands the challenges patients experience navigating complex diseases and health care systems, as he has faced those same challenges navigating Guillain-Barré Syndrome—a rare autoimmune condition that impacts the peripheral nervous system.
